ELENA LIMONTA, President

Elena is a senior majoring in public relations and minoring in media production. She has been a member of PRSSA since her sophomore year and previously served as the VP of Public Relations.

Elena works as a student assistant in UF’s Public Relations Department and is an account supervisor for Alpha PR, UF’s student-run public relations firm. She is also a graphic designer for advnt, a student-published creative advertising portfolio. Outside of her involvement with the J-school, Elena enjoys reading, going to the beach and creating oddly specific Spotify playlists.

Camila garcia, Vice President

Camila is a third-year public relations major with a minor in MPMT and a certificate in International Public Relations. She is originally from Burgos, Spain but now lives in Miami. Before becoming Vice President, Camila served as VP of Chapter Development and has been an active member of PRSSA since her first semester at UF.

Camila works as a student assistant for UF’s PR Department and is the VP of Accounts at Alpha PR, UF’s student-run public relations firm.

Outside of her involvement with PRSSA, Camila enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, going on runs and trying new things.

Izabela Gonzalez, VP of Chapter Development

Izabela is a junior from Miami, Florida, majoring in public relations with a minor in leadership and certificates in sport management and international communication. She has been a member of PRSSA since her first semester at UF and is looking forward to serving as the VP of Chapter Development this semester. 

Outside of her involvement with PRSSA, Izabela is also the VP of External Communication for PRISM (Public Relations in Sport Management) and the Social Media and Event Coordinator for Cinco Creative (a sports marketing agency based out of Miami, FL). You can always find her drinking coffee, having fun on LinkedIn, and taking lots of pride in bleeding orange and blue (GO GATORS!).

CRYSTAL SMITH, VP of Diversity & Inclusion

Crystal is a senior public relations major with a minor in leadership. Born and raised in the Sunshine State, Crystal spent her early years in Fort Lauderdale before relocating to Palm Beach. She has been involved in PRSSA since her sophomore year, and she currently serves as the VP of Diversity and Inclusion.

Outside of PRSSA, Crystal is the Vice President of Black Public Relations Student Society. She is also an account supervisor at Alpha PR, UF’s student-run PR firm.

This summer, Crystal returned to her previous internship as an official employee at LRP Media Group. She is an editor, generating compelling story ideas and interviewing attorneys and special education directors to write best-practice articles that help school districts remain legally compliant with special education laws.

When she’s not typing behind a computer, you can find Crystal relaxing at the beach, spending time with family and friends, or catching up on her shows.

EMMA GOLUB, VP of Programming

Emma is a sophomore majoring in pubic relations with a minor in advertising & innovation. During her second year at UF she hopes to become more involved within the J School and make many more great connection’s.

This past summer she interned with a public relations agency — Designing The District based in Miami, FL. She was able to get hands on experience in the fast paced world of PR and attend Miami Swim Week.

In her free time she likes to hang out with her friends, cheer on the gators, and workout!

MELANY HERNANDEZ, VP of Public Relations

Melany is a senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Portuguese. She is originally from Cuba but now lives in Fort Myers, Florida. Melany joined the College of Journalism and Communications as a sophomore and has been an active member of PRSSA ever since. As the VP of Public Relations for PRSSA, she oversees all social media accounts and manages a team of content creators and writers. Beyond PRSSA, Melany is a student ambassador for UF JCA and an account supervisor for Alpha PR.

This summer, she interned with Gulf Coast News (WBBH & WZVN), a Hearst-owned station in Fort Myers, Florida. As part of the digital marketing team, she contributed to breaking news coverage, maintained the station’s website and edited vertical video content for social platforms.

Melany also works as a customer service representative at Baldrige Group. She conducts follow-up calls to assess patient satisfaction with paramedic services and compiles data for quality analysis.

Outside of her involvement with the J-school, Melany enjoys reading for hours on end and spending time with friends.

Samantha Mills, VP of Membership & Finance

Samantha, a junior from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is majoring in public relations with a minor in business administration and a certificate in political communications. She joined PRSSA as a freshman and currently serves as the Vice President of Membership and Finance.

In addition to her role in PRSSA, Samantha is a student fellow at the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. Her passion for political public relations led her to intern as a communications assistant for District 95 in the Florida House of Representatives, where she deepened her interest in the intersection of media and government.

Samantha is also actively involved in the entertainment and music industry as a 2025–2026 member of CMA EDU, the Country Music Association’s collegiate program. Through CMA EDU, she connects with industry professionals and explores the evolving relationship between media, music and public engagement.

EVA PANTOJA, Managing Director of Alpha PR

Eva is a senior majoring in public relations with a minor in English. She is Cuban-Mexican American and was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Eva has been a member of PRSSA and an active member of Alpha PR since 2023.

Other academic pursuits include her ongoing mission to get Bad Bunny as a guest speaker in her role as vice president of the Hispanic Public Relations Student Association and working for waste reclamation plants for the City of Gainesville.

In her free time, Eva enjoys hiking, reading and binge-watching Nora Ephron films.
